UCI Road World Championship 2019 - Proposed start in Beverley

Cycling's Road World Championships in 2019 will see Harrogate as the main host town with proposed start locations in Beverley, Doncaster, Leeds, Northallerton, Ripon and York.

The UCI Road World Championships will see about 1,000 riders from 75 countries competing for the rainbow jersey with an expected global television audience of around 300 million people.

The 2017 event is being hosted in Bergen, Norway,  2018 event in Innsbruck, Austria before arriving in Harrogate, Yorkshire in 2019 the first time Britain has hosted the Championships in 37 years.

Beverley as been proposed as a start the championships which take place over nine days and includes time trials and full road races for Elite, Under 23, Under 18 riders.
